Tips for arriving to Maui and departing from the airport:  (be smart - get ahead of the rental car crowds)

1) While waiting to claim your baggage send your rental car designated driver to the rental car company to 

     rent car.

2) Catch rental car shuttle bus at car rental booths. 

3) Re-enter the airport and curbside pickup your baggage just outside baggage claim.

4) Exit airport and head to Kahului (Hwy 380) to condo.

Tips for arriving at the airport to depart from Maui: (be smart and lug your baggage less)

1) Be sure to fill up your rental car gas tank in Kahului.

2) Be aware - All baggage leaving the Hawaiian Islands must be Dept. of Agriculture x-rayed.

3) Curbside your baggage with your departing party for departing flights by the Ag x-ray machines 

     (you can see them when you drive up).  Otherwise you will have to lug your baggage around more.

4) While your departing party is checking in with your airline, have the rental car driver return your rental car.

5) Your rental car driver will return to the airport via the rental car shuttle bus and 

      meet up with group checking in at airline

6) You/your airline will then take your baggage to TSA screening to be checked while your wait.

7) After TSA checks your baggage you need to go to/ and hrough the TSA security check to get to 

    your departing gate.  After the TSA check point your personal carry on baggage will then be screened by 

    Dept. of Agriculture at a check point on your way to your departing gate.

TAKE 1-2 HOURS.  MAHALO
